The Theatre Show, 28 June 2012
We bring you some highlights of the speeches at last week's media launch at the Comedy Store in Manchester of the 24:7 Theatre Festival, with contributions from festival founder David Slack, festival director Kathryn Worthington and trustee to the festival and former Coronation Street star Vicky Binns.
We review a production that was part of The Lowry's "NeverBeenSeen" scheme: The Boy Who Kicked Pigs from Kill the Beast theatre company based on the cult novel by former Doctor Who Tom Baker.
Two theatres in the region have announced their new seasons and we give a run-down: the Coliseum Theatre in Oldham and Manchester's Library Theatre Company. Plus we have a look at the programme for the brand new Greater Manchester Fringe Festival that runs right through July.
