The Theatre Show

The Theatre Show, 19 July 2012

Debbie Manley comes on the show to talk about the brand new Greater Manchester Fringe Festival, which brings together the major fringe theatre venues in Manchester and Salford for a programme of events lasting right through July.

We also speak to Martin Pritchard from Stockport Garrick about the final production in the company's season, which will be Terry Pratchett's Maskerade, performed next door at the Stockport Plaza.

We will bring you a review of the final production in the Royal Exchange Theatre's season, for which the theatre has brought in an outside company as Filter Theatre recreates its anarchic production of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream for Manchester audiences.

Once again the "what's on" section is dominated by festivals, with the 24:7 Theatre Festival about to begin in Manchester and the Buxton Festival, Festival Fringe and Puppet Festival all running or about to start.
