The Theatre Show, 16 September 2010
We interview actor, director and composer Conrad Nelson about his new production for Northern Broadsides Theatre Company of George Orwell's 1984 from an adaptation by Nick Lane. He talks about his vision for the production, the difficulties of integrating stop-motion animation with the live action and more about his acting, directing and composing, including appearing as Iago alongside Lenny Henry's Othello last year on the West End.
Lindsey Barker and Mary Ellis from Heald Green Theatre Company talk about the amateur group's opening production of the season that they will both be appearing in next week: Alan Ayckbourn's Time Of My Life.
There is also information about how to join Wilmslow Guild Players, advanced notice of next year's 24:7 Theatre Festival in Manchester and the new season at Studio Salford, plus the usual news and what's on in the region.
