The Theatre Show, 18 November 2010
Actor Fine Time Fontayne returns to The Theatre Show--he was on the show in April talking about his part in the Greek tragedy Medea by Euripides with Northern Broadsides Theatre Company--to tell us about playing the dame once again in the pantomime at Oldham Coliseum Theatre, which this year is Sleeping Beauty by Eric Potts. He gives us an entertaining lesson in the practice and history of pantomime.
There are reviews of two productions both currently running at Manchester's Royal Exchange Theatre: The Bacchae by Euripides in a new version by Mike Poulton in the main house and Tim Crouch's controversial and unusual play The Author in the Studio.
News includes information about Re:Play Festival, the venue for Library Theatre Company's Hard Times, casting for Ghost The Musical at the Opera House in Manchester and a London run for a 24:7 Theatre Festival play.
