The Theatre Show

The Theatre Show, 9 December 2010

We consider what happens on the rare occasion when a lead actor in a production is unable to perform as Elizabeth Newman, director of David Copperfield at Octagon Theatre in Bolton, tells us how she heard that Geoffrey Breton who plays the lead role was too ill to go on and she picked up a script and took his place. She also tells us about her changing role at the Octagon and tells us about a few things to look forward to in the near future.

There is a review of Library Theatre Company's production of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, adapted by David Holman, at The Lowry in Salford and information about the spring and summer season at the Coliseum Theatre in Oldham.
