The Theatre Show, 31 March 2011
Playwright Nicola Schofield tells us about her play Peacefully At Home, which opens next week at Taurus Bar in Manchester, and about how she got involved with production company Organised Chaos. She also tells us about being part of the Royal Court Young Writers scheme with Simon Stephens as her mentor and her current membership of the Bolton Octagon's Incubate group run by director Elizabeth Newman.
We have a brief look at the funding situation for theatres in the north west region following this week's announcements by Arts Council England about how it will distribute its funds after the drastic cuts to its government funding.
We also look at the theatre productions in the new programme from Waterside Arts Centre in Sale, and at a few opportunities for performers and writers with Three Minute Theatre, LipService at The Lowry and Organised Chaos.
