The Theatre Show, 5 May 2011

David Slack, director and founder of Manchester's 24:7 Theatre Festival, talks about the 13 plays that have just been selected for the programme for this year's festival and about how people can get involved with the productions as actors, producers or as audience members.

Ray Gidley of Players Dramatic Society in Cheadle Hulme talks to us about the next production of Flat Spin by Derek Royal in a couple of weeks' time, the group's 2011-2 season that has just been announced and the annual fundraising plant sale that it has been holding now for 21 years.

We take a look at the summer season at Theatre by the Lake in Keswick and some casting news for major productions at the Palace Theatre and Opera House in Manchester and The Lowry in Salford.
