Tony Barker interviews Bill Beton of Wilmslow Guild Players about the annual Wilmslow Festival of One Act Plays, which has been running since before the Second World War and will open again in a couple of weeks' time.
We review the stage incarnation of classic 80s political, satirical sitcom Yes, Prime Minister by the original writers Antony Jay and Jonathan Lynn, currently running at The Lowry in Salford.
Hot off the press comes the new season of plays from September at the Octagon Theatre in Bolton, the third year under the helm of artistic director David Thacker.
We also have a brief interview with Andrew Smaje of Hull Truck Theatre about the company's production of The Lady in the Van by Alan Bennett, which visits The Lowry next week.
