The Theatre Show, 16 June 2011
Actor Robin Bowerman tells us about the new play by Philip Goulding that he is performing in at the Coliseum Theatre in Oldham, A Fine Bright Day Tomorrow. He also tells us a little bit about a residency with Alan Ayckbourn's company in Scarborough in the 1970s and about theatrical digs.
After last week's interview with director Elizabeth Newman, we bring you a review of her production of Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by Hugh Wheeler at the Octagon Theatre in Bolton.
We also have a very brief look at this July's 24:7 Theatre Festival, including actor John Henshaw's introduction to this week's media launch of the festival.
