The Theatre Show

The Theatre Show, 7 July 2011

Bollington resident David Ward is literary consultant for Theatre by the Lake in Keswick over a hundred miles away, and he tells us about the summer season in which anyone spending a week in the Lake District can see up to six plays at the picturesque theatre. He tells us about another Bollington resident in the acting company and brings some rare good news about funding.

We review three major festival productions: at the Manchester International Festival Dr Dee by Rufus Norris and Damon Albarn at the Palace Theatre and That Day We Sang by Victoria Wood at the Opera House and in the Not Part Of Festival, the closing production in the Royal Exchange Theatre season of As You Like It by William Shakespeare.
