The Theatre Show

The Theatre Show, 15 September 2011

Irish playwright Conor McKee talks about his new play Thrasher, soon to open in the Studio at Manchester's Royal Exchange Theatre, and about a scheme alongside the production for playwrights and directors to work with him and director Wyllie Longmore to create a short piece for performance at the Royal Exchange Studio.

We review the opening productions in the autumn season at two more leading north west theatres: the classic thriller Deathtrap by Ira Levin at the Coliseum Theatre in Oldham and Christopher Marlowe's violent political thriller Edward II at the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester.

There is also a run-down of the theatre productions in the autumn season at Waterside Arts Centre in Sale.
