The Theatre Show

The Theatre Show, 8 December 2011

Trevor Williams and Michele Eaton, the comedy duo from Wilmslow Guild's panto Sleeping Beauty by Norman Robbins, join us in the studio to tell us all about the production.

We also speak to Elizabeth Newman, the director of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz at the Octagon Theatre in Bolton, about the unusual writing process that she used to create the new adaptation of L Frank Baum's first Oz book using a team of eight writers and also about some of the other new writing initiatives that she runs at the Octagon.

We review the Library Theatre Company's Christmas production, which this year is Alan Bennett's popular stage version of The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame at The Lowry in Salford, and we also look at the programme for the Library's fifth Re:Play Festival, which will take place in January.
