The Theatre Show

The Theatre Show, 1 March 2012

Porl Cooper, one of the programming team at The Lowry in Salford with special responsibility for the theatre productions in the Studio, talks about the new season in the Studio that has just gone on sale, about the philosophy behind the Studio's programming and about what he is looking for from a production and a producer when he is deciding which of the many submissions he gets will perform on the Studio's stage.

We review two major productions in the north west: a rare revival of the DH Lawrence play The Daughter-in-Law from the Library Theatre Company at The Lowry and David Thacker's annual Shakespeare production for the Octagon Theatre in Bolton, which this year is Macbeth.
